The college football season kicks off for two more local teams this weekend, and both Weber State and BYU are on TV.

First up, on Friday night the Weber State Wildcats travel to Corvallis to take on the Oregon State Beavers (6 p.m., Pac-12 Network).

And on Saturday, the BYU Cougars travel to Lincoln to take on the Nebraska Cornhuskers (1:30 p.m., ABC/Ch. 4), a game that will be telecast nationally.

Friday on TV ...

High school football: American Fork at Brighton (7 p.m., Ch. 14); Bishop Gorman (Nevada) at Brighton (7 p.m., KMYU)

"Masters of Illusion" (7 p.m., CW/Ch. 30): Magicians Ed Alonzo, Rick Thomas, Michael Grandinetti, Johnny Ace Palmer, Barry and Stuart, Les Arnold and Dazzle, and Michael Turco perform.

Women's college soccer (7 p.m., BYUtv): Utah at BYU

"American Masters" (8 p.m., PBS/Ch. 7): A profile of tennis great Althea Gibson (1927-2003), the first African-American athlete to win Wimbledon and the U.S. Nationals.

Saturday on TV ...

"Mythbusters" (7 and 10 p.m., Discovery): "Star Wars" myths are tested.

"Cedar Cove" (9 p.m., Hallmark): Will overstays his welcome at Olivia's home.

Sunday on TV …

"Big Brother" (7 p.m., CBS/Ch. 2): Houseguests are nominated for eviction.

"Arthur & George" (7 p.m., NGC): The three-part adaptation of Julian Barnes' novel begins with famed author Arthur Conan Doyle — the creator of Sherlock Holmes — asked to clear a man convicted of animal mutilation. He quickly realizes that there's more to the case than meets the eye.

"The Last Ship" (7 and 8 p.m., TNT): Immune factions actively fight the spread of the cure. (Season finale)

"Vicious" (9:30 p.m., PBS/Ch. 7): Everyone takes a ballroom dancing class.

"Ray Donovan" (10 p.m., Showtime): An attempt to draw Mickey out of hiding jeopardizes Bunchy's wedding.

"Masters of Sex" (11 p.m., Showtime): Masters continues his surrogacy program.

"The Strain" (11 p.m., FX): The police fight a big, bloody battle with an army of vampires.
