The new crime series "Public Morals" (8 and 10 p.m., TNT) is set inside the NYPD's vice unit in the 1960s.

Think "Mad Men" crime drama. It's a stylized, very violent series that starts slow but builds. It's worth checking out three or four episodes.

In the opener, Officer Terry Muldoon (Edward Burns, who is also an executive producer) issues a warning to his gangster uncle.

"Startup U" (11 p.m., ABC Family): The team challenge gets under way; the first pivot meeting is held; Keyonna encounters some difficulties with her teammates.

"The Agent" (11 p.m,. Esquire): Ed goes after a running back whose draft stock is quickly rising.

"Tyrant" (11 p.m., FX): A sandstorm helps Barry overrun the Caliphate's military base.

"Scream: The TV Series" (11 p.m., MTV): Emma teams up with Piper to find the real killer.

"Another Period" (11:30 p.m., Comedy Central): Chair's true intentions are revealed; Lillian and Beatrice try to stop Frederick's wedding.
