In its second season, Guillermo del Toro's "The Strain" (Sunday, 11 p.m., FX) remains the creepiest show on TV.

There's not a sparkly vampire to be seen here — but there are a lot of horrifying monsters all over New York City. In this weekend's episode, Eph and Nora experiment on their new patients; Kelly searches for Zach.

And if you missed the Season 2 premiere last week, it repeats Sunday/early Monday at 1:25 a.m.
