West Jordan resident Mike Parsons — — a DJ at radio station B98.7 —appears in this week's episode of "Fat Guys In the Woods" (7 p.m., Weather Channel).

He and two other "regular Joes" join survival expert Creek Stewart to "put a giant knife arsenal to the test in Florida's Dead Lakes swamp. They use their blades to construct a 'swamp nest' tree house, build a 'fire thong' (a fire-by-friction fire start method), and hack into some interesting wild edibles. Tensions flare when cracking open a turtle is the only option for food.
