In tonight's episode of "Wayward Pines" (8 p.m., Fox/Ch. 13), we learn what's going on in this very strange Idaho town that no one can leave.

I haven't read the books, so I was very surprised. In a good way. It's not at all what I expected.

It's somewhat unusual for a series to have its Big Reveal in Episode 5 (of a planned 10-episode season), and I have no idea where the show goes from here. But I'm anxious to see where it ends up.
