WEDNESDAY, DEC. 3

Tonight is the "winter finale" of Fox's "Red Band Society" (8 p.m. Ch. 13). It might just be the finale, period.

Fox has not ordered any additional episodes beyond the original 13. This week's episode is No. 10, but 11, 13 and 13 have not been scheduled. And there's no guarantee they will be.

I would feel worse about this if the show had lived up to its original promise. But, as I feared, it hasn't.
