After a leak on social media, the LDS Church confirmed its new policy labels same-sex couples as apostates and forbids children living with same-sex couples from church membership and other rites without express permission from top church leaders.

On Monday at 12:15 p.m., Affirmation board member John Gustav-Wrathall, Diane Oviatt of Mama Dragons and Claremont Graduate University professor Patrick Mason join Jennifer Napier-Pearce to talk about the policy change and the swift response from those in and out of the church.
