Trib Talk: Transgender and Mormon

First Published      Last Updated Apr 06 2015 01:43 pm

For Mormons, gender is central to both LDS Church doctrine and practice - men and women have distinct and eternal characteristics, men gather in priesthood meetings while women attend Relief Society, etc. This makes it especially difficult for transgender Mormons to find a space within their faith.

On Monday at 12:15 p.m., Tribune religion writer Peggy Fletcher Stack and transgender Mormons Sara Jade Woodhouse, Grayson Moore and Annabel Jensen join Jennifer Napier-Pearce to talk about what it means to be transgender and LDS.
