Homebuilder Woodside Homes is unveiling its new development of custom-built single-family houses in American Fork, dubbed Ashley Meadows.

Woodside plans to build up to 33 homes with 11 various floor plans, ranging from 2,561 to 4,603 square feet, in what is being billed as a "contemporary mountain community" at 916 W. 880 North, the company said.

Located off Lehi's Main Street and a half-mile from Interstate 15, Ashley Meadows' home designs call for three to five bedrooms and two to four bathrooms, with prices starting in the high $300,000s.

A model home called the Macintosh is now open for appointments.

In a statement, Ryan Ortman, division president for Woodside Homes in Utah, said the Ashley Meadows houses hit a price point "well below the traditional custom-built homes in the area."

Data from the Salt Lake Board of Realtors show American Fork's median home price was at $317,000 in the last quarter of 2015, an increase of 13.2 percent from the previous year. That figure includes all homes, not just custom-built, where many in-home features are tailored to buyers' preferences.

Lots sizes in Ashley Meadows run from a quarter to a third of an acre, the company said, and the entire neighborhood has mountain views.

Woodside is one of the largest homebuilders in the West, with nearly 40,000 houses constructed since its founding in 1977. It has developments in Arizona, California, Nevada and Texas as well as Utah.

The company's Utah projects are primarily in suburban communities in Davis and Utah counties as well as in West Jordan and Park City.
