Today's "Trailer of the Day" for the 2017 Sundance Film Festival is a double bill — previews of two short documentaries from Cuba.

The documentaries are part of the "Made in Cuba" compilation, films guided by Sundance Institute's Documentary Film Program in collaboration with La Escuela Internacional de Cine y TV (EICTV) and Guardian documentaries.

"Great Muy Bien," by Sheyla Pool Pástor, goes inside the Big Ben English School, a makeshift Havana school that teaches English to Cubans. Demand for English lessons exploded in 2015, when the United States restored diplomatic relations with Cuba.

"Connection (Conectifai)," by Horizoe Garcia Miranda, shows what happened when Cuba's only telephone company, ETECSA, installed wi-fi routers in 18 public parks, allowing many Cubans to go online for the first time.

The "Made in Cuba" program — which also includes the documentary "House for Sale (Casa en Venta)" — is part of the festival's Special Events section, and will screen at the following times and venues:

• Monday, Jan. 23, 6:30 p.m., Redstone Cinema 1, Park City.

• Tuesday, Jan. 24, noon, Sundance Mountain Resort Screening Room.

• Wednesday, Jan. 25, 9 a.m., Temple Theatre, Park City.

• Saturday, Jan. 28, 9 p.m., Tower Theatre, Salt Lake City

The 2017 Sundance Film Festival runs Jan. 19-29 in Park City and at venues in Salt Lake City and the Sundance resort in Provo Canyon.
