Here's a different kind of deal made at the 2016 Sundance Film Festival: A marriage proposal.

It happened Saturday night, after the first screening of the Midnight movie "Trash Fire" at the Egyptian Theatre.

Director Richard Bates Jr. kicked off the Q&A by leaving the stage, going to his girlfriend, Noelle Cruz, dropping to one knee, producing a ring, and popping the question. Cruz, tearfully, said yes.

"Trash Fire," playing in Sundance's Midnight program, is a searing drama about a messed-up family, starring Adrian Grenier ("Entourage") and Angela Trimbur.
