Today's trailer is for "Unlocking the Cage," a profile of a lawyer with some unusual clients, which will screen at the 2016 Sundance Film Festival, starting in nine days.

Steven Wise has been on a legal crusade for 30 years: To protect animals by establishing their legal rights. The movie profiles Wise, and follows him through his most daring case — as he seeks to get a court to recognize limited personhood rights for four chimpanzees.

The documentary is directed by the legendary team of Chris Hegedus and D.A. Pennebaker, best known for their look at Bill Clinton's campaign staff, "The War Room."

"Unlocking the Cage" will screen in the festival's Documentary Premieres program.
