Today's Sundance "trailer of the day" takes a trip to Sardinia, and back in time, with three fascinating traveling companions.

In "6 Desires: D.H. Lawrence and Sardinia," documentarian Mark Cousins takes a personal trip to the Mediterranean island where the author D.H. Lawrence and his wife, Frieda von Richthofen, traveled in the winter of 1921 — a trip than inspired his book, "Sea and Sardinia."

Cousins narrates his film, which serves as a personal letter to Lawrence, or "Bert," as Cousins calls him. Rock star Jarvis Cocker reads Lawrence's writings.

"6 Desires: D.H. Lawrence and Sardinia" played at the BFI London Film Festival in October, and will screen in the Spotlight section of the 2015 Sundance Film Festival.
