Add nine more features, and a boatload of short films, to the lineup of the Slamdance Film Festival.

Slamdance, the even-more-indie alternative event to the bigger Sundance Film Festival, on Monday announced four features in its Special Screenings slate and five in its Beyond program. Slamdance also announced its short-film slate, which can be seen here.

Slamdance runs Jan. 23-29 at the Treasure Mountain Inn., 255 Main St., Park City.

Here are the feature films in Slamdance's Special Screenings and Beyond program slates. Descriptions are courtesy of Slamdance.

Special Screenings:

"Alpha" • (Greece) Director: Stathis Athanasiou; screenwriters: Stathis Athanasiou, Pedro Olalla • "A conforming bourgeois woman, Alpha, refuses to help a fugitive in fear that her life will be put in danger, a 21st-century retelling of Antigone's myth about the current political status quo. "Bloodsucking Bastards • (U.S.) Director: Brian James O'Connell; screenwriters: Ryan Mitts, Dr. God • "When an office worker at a soul-crushing company loses his coveted promotion to his longtime nemesis, he begins to fear for more than his job as strange disappearances and bizarre deaths suggest the office is turning into a haven for the undead.
