More number crunching, more measuring up, more second-guessing.

It's April 25, 2017, the day the Major League Soccer Players Union released their bi-annual salary numbers. With that, comes the usual meticulous study and breakdown of roster construction and what certain players are worth what in the eyes of fans and journalists covering the league. Numbers have been disputed by several executives throughout MLS in recent years.

As for the local team, well, Real Salt Lake's had some heavy changes since last year.

None more notably than the reported salary of Designated Player forward Yura Movsisyan, who, according to the release, is on a salary of $1,750,000 this year. In guaranteed compensation, the 29-year-old Armenian is making $1,973,750. That makes Movsisyan far and away the highest-paid player in RSL franchise history, which isn't a surprise after the club finalized his long-term future there last fall.

In a breakdown by The Washington Post on Tuesday, RSL is shown to have three of the Top 50 highest-paid players in the league in guaranteed compensation. Movsisyan is No. 15. New Designated Player Albert Rusnák is No. 31 ($883,000). Captain Kyle Beckerman, who just turned 35 on Sunday, is No. 36 ($825,000).

Philly.com's Jonathan Tannenwald released his bi-annual, in-depth breakdown. RSL's currently payroll ($7,156,440.44) ranks No. 11 in MLS out of 22 clubs. The big-hitters remain atop, to no surprise. Toronto FC is ranked No. 1 ($20,153,697), with New York City FC ($17,370,525.68) No. 2 and Orlando City ($12,382.053.80).

Specifically to RSL, some players who reportedly have received salary bumps include defender Justen Glad (up to $225,000 base salary), midfielder Jordan Allen (up to $178,000 base salary), defender Aaron Maund (up to $165,000 base salary), midfielder Luke Mulholland (up to $172,000 base salary) and new Designated Player Joao Plata (up to $350,000 base salary, doubled from a reported $175,000 last September).

Happy crunching.
