Bruce Arena's first national team camp roster in his second run as U.S. men's national team boss has been released. And for the first time in over a year, Real Salt Lake goalkeeper Nick Rimando is part of the equation once again.

The 37-year-old shot-stopper is part of Arena's 32-man roster summoned for the USMNT's annual January camp. Every player called into this camp comes from Major League Soccer, which is represented by 15 different clubs across the league. Players report to the National Training Center in Carson, Calif., on Jan. 10, where preparation will begin for upcoming friendlies against Serbia (Jan. 29 at Qualcomm Stadium in San Diego, Calif.,) and later against Jamaica (Feb. 3 at Finley Stadium in Chattanooga, Tenn.)

"With games at the end of the month and the World Cup Qualifiers in March, this is going to be a critical time for us," Arena said in a release. "It's important that we come in and quickly establish an understanding of what we are about and how we go about building our team. As for the players, we are coming into this with an open mind, so it's a huge opportunity for them."

Arena and his staff will utilize this camp to prepare for upcoming CONCACAF World Cup Qualifiers against Honduras (at home March 24) and Panama (away on March 28). The U.S. started 0-2 in the Hexagonal round, which led to the eventual firing of former national team coach Jurgen Klinsmann in late November.

Rimando is one of four players in camp to have played under Arena during his first go as USMNT head coach. His most-recent call-up came in Nov. 2015. During his national-team career, Rimando has 21 senior-team caps. Major League Soccer's all-time records leader for shutouts and wins by a goalkeeper was part of Klinsmann's 23-man roster for the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil. In the 2013 CONCACAF Gold Cup, Rimando went 6-0-0 as the starter, allowing just four goals in 540 minutes of play.

In this latest camp, he's one of five goalkeepers called in by Arena, along with David Bingham (San Jose Earthquakes), Stefan Frei (Seattle Sounders), Bill Hamid (D.C. United) and Luis Robles (New York Red Bulls).

Rimando's inclusion is part of a new trend under Arena's regime. Other players making their return to the national-team fold after lengthy absences are: defender Chad Marshall (Jan. 2010), midfielders Dax McCarty (Jan. 2011) and Benny Feilhaber (Jan. 2014), defender Greg Garza (Sept. 2015) and defender DaMarcus Beasley (Oct. 2015).
