No surprise: The Gold Cup should have some RSL flair to it.

The club's two stars, captain Kyle Beckerman and goalkeeper Nick Rimando, were named to Jurgen Klinsmann's provisional U.S. men's national team's 35-man roster Wednesday for the upcoming 2015 CONCACAF Gold Cup tournament.

Both Beckerman, 33, and Rimando, 35, were part of last summer's FIFA World Cup roster in Brazil and are expected to be part of the final, cemented roster for the Gold Cup tournament, which starts on July 7 when the U.S. face Honduras in Frisco, Texas.

Rimando has been part of every national-team camp in 2015, including five starts in five international friendlies this year. Beckerman returned to the fold in April after skipping the January U.S. camp to stay with RSL through preseason. He started in a 2-0 win over Mexico in San Antonio, Texas, and went 63 minutes and started against the Netherlands in Amsterdam last Friday, a game in which the U.S. won 4-3. It was their first win ever over the Dutch.

Rimando returned to RSL after a week with the U.S. in the Netherlands and started in RSL's 0-0 home draw against rival Colorado Sunday in Sandy. Beckerman remained in Europe and was on the bench against defending World Cup champion Germany Wednesday in Cologne.

The Gold Cup starts July 7 and runs through July 26. RSL hosts expansion franchise Orlando City on July 4th, then travels to Colorado on July 11 before hosting Houston on July 18 and Sporting Kansas City on July 24.
