Here is my breakdown of RSL's 2015 season schedule. I'm sure your analyses are much more on point than this, but figured I'd give it a whirl.

Saturday, March 7 » at Portland Timbers: The Nat Borchers Game. For the first time since he was a Colorado Rapid, RSL will face up against The Beard after his eight years in Utah.

Saturday, March 14 » vs. Philadelphia Union: The Cold Game. RSL's 2015 home opener will be cold. And if it isn't, you can blame me for an unseasonably pleasant evening in Sandy.

Sunday, March 29 » vs. Toronto FC: The Robbie Findley Game. It's also the hype-machine game after "It's A Bloody Big Deal" fell flat on its face in 2014. RSL's all-time leading postseason scorer returns to Rio Tinto after being taken by TFC in the Re-Entry Draft.

Sunday, April 5 » at San Jose: The Fancy New Stadium Game. RSL's first trip to brand-spanking-new Avaya Stadium in San Jose promises to be so much, much, much better than Buck Shaw Stadium. It can hold 18,000 human beings and will have some great technological capabilities.

Saturday, April 11 » at Sporting Kansas City: The Sporting Kansas City Game. These dudes don't care much for one another. Now that SKC is back in the Western Conference, expect more pushing and shoving and trying to calm things down too often.

Saturday, April 18 » vs. Vancouver Whitecaps: The Sebastian Fernandez Game. Even though Fernandez is no longer with the Caps, his 35-yard worm-burner stunned Rio Tinto in the last minute of extra time last April. RSL went 0-1-2 against Vancouver in 2014.

Saturday, April 25 » at New England Revolution: The Game against RSL East. The Revs rode a magnificent late-season run to the MLS Cup final where they lost in extra time to the Galaxy. They're young and have guys like Jermaine Jones and Lee Nguyen. Hopefully there's no snow at Foxboro.

Friday, May 1 » vs. San Jose Earthquakes: The Dominic Kinnear Game. RSL will have already seen San Jose once, but by this time, the effect of Kinnear will be seen. Will the Quakes be inching closer to their 2012 form?

Wednesday, May 6 » vs. L.A. Galaxy: The No Landon Donovan Game. For the first time in club history, RSL will play a Galaxy team without Landon Donovan. He retired. And new guy Steven Gerrard ain't arrived yet.

Saturday, May 9 » at Chicago Fire: The Chicago Fire Game. Remember last year's Fire match? RSL slept through the first 72 minutes and then scored three times in the last 20-plus minutes to win.

Saturday, May 16 » at Montreal Impact: The Fourth Game in 15 Days Game. RSL's month of May is insanely busy and facing a lowly team that can produce results at home will be tough. Luckily for RSL, Marco DiVaio has moved on.

Saturday, May 23 » vs. New York City FC: The Ned Grabavoy Game. It's the everyone game, actually. It's the Jason Kreis-Chris Wingert-Sebastian Velasquez-Josh Saunders-Kwame-Watson-Siriboe-David Villa-Not-Frank Lampard-Grabavoy game.

Wednesday, May 27 » at L.A. Galaxy: The FIFA Game. The only scheduled trip to L.A. in 2015 after four in 2014 means I must take advantage of playing FIFA13 with old Tribune colleague Bill Oram. Chivas USA put a damper on this burgeoning rivalry.

Saturday, May 30 » at Vancouver Whitecaps: The Amazing City Game. Sure, the turf isn't ideal but Vancouver is my favorite city in the world. If you haven't gone, go and spend lots of money.

Sunday, June 7 » vs. Colorado Rapids: The Hot Sunday Game. It's 3 p.m. in Sandy on a Sunday in early June. The fans at Rio Tinto Stadium will need sunscreen. Folks on press row, too.

Sunday, June 21 » vs. Sporting Kansas City: The Stop Shoving Game. OK, we get it. You guys aren't crazy about one another. Let's kick the ball so we can go home and watch some reality TV.

Wednesday, June 24 » at New York Red Bulls: The Who's Left Game. Thierry Henry is gone. Mike Petke, too. Jamison Olave is with RSL. Tim Cahill is probably gone. A Wednesday at the pristine Red Bull Arena. Who's left?

Saturday, June 27 » vs. Columbus Crew: The Last One of A Crazy Stretch Game. RSL's match against Columbus will be its 11th since May 1, capping off a slate of 11 games in 57 days including three 3-game weeks.

Saturday, July 4 » vs. Orlando City: The Fourth of July Game against Kaká. It's more than a night in Sandy against Kaká. Orlando has a strong blueprint for its club in Year 1 in MLS. Could be one of the best home matches of 2015.

Sunday, July 12 » at Colorado Rapids: The Hotter Sunday Game. Playing the Rapids again on a Sunday, but in suburban Denver. Could be hot. Could be tornadoes. Who really knows.

Saturday, July 18 » vs. Houston Dynamo: The Craig Waibel Game. RSL's new technical director faces his longtime club. He spent the last five seasons of his career there and won two MLS Cups.

Friday, July 24 » vs. Sporting Kansas City: The Pioneer Day Game. The last time RSL hosted Sporting KC in late June, it the visitors (and eventual MLS Cup champions) scored a 97th-minute game-winner that sent Jason Kreis into a tizzy.

Saturday, Aug. 1 » at D.C. United: The Fabian Espindola Game. The former RSL forward helped United to a regular-season Eastern Conference crown in 2014, but ended his season by shoving a ref and getting suspended a bunch of games.

Saturday, Aug. 8 » at Vancouver Whitecaps: The Seriously Go to Vancouver Game. No one knows where either team will be in the standings at this point of the season, but if you're in Vancouver in early August, you've made a great decision, one that no one can fight you on.

Saturday, Aug. 15 » vs. Portland Timbers: The Borchers-Johnson Game. Former RSL players return to Rio Tinto. For Borchers, it will be the first time since being traded away after the 2014 season.

Saturday, Aug. 22 » vs. Seattle Sounders: The Garth Lagerwey Game. RSL's longtime general manager and voice of the franchise returns to Sandy. He told me he'd make every trip back to Utah with the Sounders, which is no surprise.

Saturday, Aug. 29 » at FC Dallas: The Bring a Change of Clothes Game. Late August in Frisco, Texas, guarantees to be insanely muggy and sticky and hot and make sure you hydrate as often as possible.

Saturday, Sept. 12 » at Houston Dynamo: The Game after the Game at FC Dallas. Back-to-back matches in Texas at that time of year is brutal. There is no other way of putting it. Hydrate. Everyone hydrate.

Saturday, Sept. 19 » vs. L.A. Galaxy: The Steven Gerrard Game. The superstar who signed as the Galaxy's newest Designated Player is expected to arrive in L.A. in July. Gerrard going head-to-head with Kyle Beckerman will make for good conversation.

Sunday, Sept. 27 » at San Jose Earthquakes: The Insanely Pleasant Game. It could be hot in Silicon Valley in late September, but it also could be downright pleasant. Shorts and T-shirt weather. Kick off is at 4 p.m. local, so you still have time drive Santa Cruz afterward. Here's hoping the press box at Avaya doesn't smell the way Buck Shaw's did.

Saturday, Oct. 3 » at Colorado Rapids: The Rocky Mountain Cup Game. RSL's last meeting with its Rocky Mountain rival will likely tell who hoists the trophy in 2015. Unless one team has already gone 2-0-0 against the other, in which case I just wasted three sentences.

Wednesday, Oct. 14 » vs. Portland Timbers: The Nick Rimando Game. The league's all-time leader in shutouts puts on his cape more often than not against the Timbers. When Portland needed a win to keep playoff hopes alive in Oct. 2014, Rimando kept the pushing Timbers at bay for 90 minutes.

Saturday, Oct. 17 » vs. FC Dallas: The Jacket Game. There's a chance you may need a jacket in the match against Portland three days prior, but the last two games of the regular season always end up being chillier than most expect.

Sunday, Oct. 25 » at Seattle Sounders: The Big Game. All 20 MLS clubs will be playing on the same day to end their respective seasons. What better place to end a season than at roaring CenturyLink Field in downtown Seattle?
