Prep volleyball Tribune Power Rankings for Oct. 1, 2016:

Class 5A

1. Lone Peak (10-3) • To the victor goes the laurels. Knights supplant Pleasant Grove at the top after beating the Vikings in four.

2. Pleasant Grove (13-3) • PG loses first contest to a Utah team when Lone Peak takes 3-1 victory; American Fork and Westlake on tap.

3. Brighton (14-1) • Bengals stay unbeaten in region after knocking off Copper Hills in four and sweeping West Jordan.

4. Bingham (8-7) • Seleisa Elisaia totals 18 kills as Miners sweep Taylorsville and Cottonwood.

5. Weber (11-3) • Warriors cruise by Clearfield and Roy in region sweeps; senior Emily Jones gathers 14 kills in win over Royals.

Class 4A

1. Bountiful (13-2) • Busy three-match week ends with Braves fending off region challenger Bonneville in four.

2. Corner Canyon (11-3) • Chargers survive five-set test from Mountain View, get 13 kills from senior Zoe Tippetts in win.

3. Skyridge (13-5) • Falcons breeze past Provo in three before heading off to weekend tournament in Phoenix.

4. Timpview (10-3) • Two region road matches, two sweeps (over Alta and Mountain View) for the Thunderbirds.

5. Maple Mountain (9-3) • Golden Eagles beat Payson in four, edge Salem Hills in five and grab control of Region 8.

Class 3A

1. Morgan (13-1) • Trojans continue to ease through region play, take down both Juan Diego and Ridgeline in road sweeps.

2. Desert Hills (14-7) • Charity Bradley smokes 19 kills in two straight matches as Thunder win 3-0 against Pine View and Snow Canyon.

3. Park City (11-3) • Miners maintain Region 10 top spot by winning 3-1 matches against both Union and Stansbury.

4. North Sanpete (11-3) • Hawks take Richfield down in four-set road win, will contend with region challenger Juab on Tuesday.

5. Pine View (15-7) • After falling to No. 2 Desert Hills in three, Panthers give Cedar same treatment in region.

Class 2A

1. North Summit (17-1) • Region cakewalk continues as Hunter Vernon scores 13 kills in sweep of Providence Hall.

2. Enterprise (15-4) • Wolves maintain control of tough Region 13 after beating South Sevier in four and sweeping Delta at home.

3. South Summit (10-6) • 'Cats take Maeser Prep in four and sweep Summit Academy before falling at end of week to 1A Rich.

4. Delta (7-9) • Rabbits cruise by Beaver in a sweep before Enterprise stops them 3-0.

5. Kanab (6-10) • Dakota Barnson pops 19 kills, as Cowboys impress in road sweep of Millard.

Class 1A

1. Panguitch (11-1) • Easy time for Bobcats, as top-ranked team whitewashes Escalante in three.

2. Monticello (20-3) • Buckaroos hit up out-of-state teams for wins, beating Monument Valley (Ariz.) and Montezuma (Colo.) in sweeps.

3. Rich (13-2) • Rebels step up in class and dismiss 2A's third-ranked South Summit in home 3-0 victory.

4. Piute (9-2) • Light week for Thunderbirds, who plot how to take down region foe Panguitch.

5. Intermountain Christian (18-3) • Lions take control of region standings by beating St. Joseph in 3-1 road win.
