5. Davis (10-2) • After mid-week loss to Brighton, Davis gets region-opening sweep of Granger.

Class 4A

1. Bountiful (2-0) • Schedule lull for defending champs, who play in Rocky Mountain tournament in Lehi next week.

2. Timpview (2-1) • Region play begins for T-birds this week with visit to Corner Canyon on Thursday.

3. Skyridge (4-1) • New school wins Silver bracket of own Wasatch tourney before heading into region action.

4. Woods Cross (10-7) • After plethora of best-of-three tournament matches, Wildcats play regular-length match against Olympus on Wednesday.

5. Skyline (7-4) • After so-so start, Eagles record consecutive sweeps of Hillcrest and Kearns.

Class 3A

1. Morgan (2-0) • Bailee Loertscher and Brookelyn Hurlbut each score nine kills as Trojans sweep by Northridge.

2. Desert Hills (3-1) • Seniors Rachel Winters and Charity Bradley, with 13 and 12 kills respectively, bring down the Thunder on Richfield.

3. Dixie (3-0) • It's a three-week waiting period for Flyers, who play Desert Hills Sept. 15.

4. Park City (5-1) • Senior Clara Schmae and soph Grace Wiczek each get a dozen kills in narrow 3-2 win at Juan Diego.

5. Pine View (11-6) • Panthers prevail over Kanab in four sets, open region play vs. Hurricane in two weeks.

Class 2A

1. North Summit (10-1) • After a week-plus off, Braves back in action Wednesday versus Rowland Hall.

2. Enterprise (9-4) • Good, tough wins as Wolves beat Richfield in five and then upend defending 1A champ Panguitch in four.

3. South Sevier (5-3) • Rams come out of Dixie tournament by sweeping North Sevier on Tuesday.

4. South Summit (5-3) • After shutout loss to 3A Union, Wildcats get eight kills from Sammi Rodgers in win over Rowland Hall.

5. Millard (9-1) • Eagles' only loss to South Sevier in Dixie invite; they'll get chance at Rams again on Thursday.

Class 1A

1. Panguitch (4-1) • Bobcats sweep Diamond Ranch but fall in four sets to 2A's second-ranked Enterprise.

2. Piute (5-0) • Thunderbirds in cruise control as they sweep Parowan and Beaver.

3. Rich (1-0) • A 3-0 sweep of Bear Lake (Idaho) starts off the schedule for the Rebs.

4. Monticello (7-0) • Clean start for the Buckaroos to '16 campaign include a 3-0 win over San Juan on Thursday.

5. Duchesne (7-1) • Seven straight wins for Eagles after shutting out Rockwell.
