BYU's latest in-state commitment has a very familiar last name.

Bingham's Class of 2017 safety Tongi Langi — whose brother, Harvey, starts at linebacker in Provo — pledged to the Cougars on Wednesday afternoon, The Salt Lake Tribune confirmed.

"It's great to be a part of a great college like BYU," Tongi said. "On and off the field, it's a good program all-around."

Tongi likely won't have an opportunity to suit up with his brother at BYU, however. He plans to serve a two-year LDS Church mission immediately following graduation. On the football field, Tongi is one of the top defensive backs in the state, and burst onto the scene as a junior last season on arguably the best defense in Utah.
