Two local basketball prospects were bumped into ESPN's top 50 national recruits on Tuesday.

Lone Peak guard Frank Jackson checked in at No. 11 overall. Signed to play at Duke, Jackson, ranked as a five-star prospect, is considered the No. 3 shooting guard in the country by ESPN. He is averaging 28.5 points per game for the top-ranked Knights, and was recently announced as the sixth McDonald's All-American from the state of Utah.

Bingham forward Yoeli Childs, a four-star prospect signed to play at BYU, jumped to No. 50. Childs is averaging 19.6 points and 10.3 rebounds per game for the third-ranked Miners. An aspect of Childs' game which potentially contributed to the ascent up the charts, is his extended range on the offensive end of the floor. At 6-foot-8, Childs leads the Miners with 24 made 3-pointers, and is shooting 53 percent from beyond the arc. Childs, who is considered the No. 12-ranked power forward by ESPN, made 10 triples during his sophomore and junior seasons combined.
