Brighton receiver Simi Fehoko has lived up to the hype as the top prospect from the state of Utah for the Class of 2016. The Stanford commit has hauled in 36 receptions for 881 yards and seven touchdowns in six games this season.

He added another accolade on Thursday evening, tweeting he'd earned an invitation to participate in the 2016 Army All-American Bowl on Jan. 9 at the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas. The game will be broadcasted live on NBC at 11 a.m.

Fehoko is currently 486 yards away from establishing the new UHSAA all-time career receiving mark, which he will easy reach at his current pace of 146.8 yards per game. Fehoko, who also has 20 tackles and two interceptions on defense, is the only receiver for the Bengals with more than 10 receptions this season, which he's achieved with three different quarterbacks seeing time behind center.

Fehoko joins Wasatch kicker Skyler Southam as the second local prospect to receive an invitation to the prestigious bowl.

No. 5 Brighton plays at second-ranked Sky View on Friday at 7 p.m.
