John Teuscher has resigned after two years as head football coach at Copper Hills High School.

Principal Todd Quarnberg praised Teuscher for the improvement the Grizzlies had made under his tenure.

"I've known his interest has been going to a college or a university," said Quarnberg. "I wish him well."

Teuscher won four games in his two years at Copper Hills.

Quarnberg said he was going to open up the hiring process but was not ruling out hiring someone inside the program as well.

"I always open it up," he said. "I want to hire the best I can get my hands on, maybe somebody inside. … It will take time to build a program here. But John had the kids in the weight room getting bigger and stronger. We need to continue forward."
