Most may think high school football season is over, but three top Utah high school players will be participating in two national all-star bowl games this weekend while two other Beehive state underclassmen were recently honored as all-Americans.

Brighton's Osa Masina and Salem Hills Porter Gustin will represent the West as linebackers Saturday in the annual Army All-American Bowl, which will be played at the Alamodome in San Antonio at 11 a.m. It will be televised nationally by NBC.

This bowl game has produced such NFL stars as Andrew Luck, Jamaal Charles and DeMarco Murray, so Masina and Gustin will be in fine company as they go against some of the nation's best players.

East's 6-foot, 241-pound Christian Folou will represent Utah Sunday as a linebacker on the West in the Semper Fidelis All-American Game at the Stub Hub Center in Carson, Calif.

That contest will be televised at 7 p.m. By Fox Sports 1.

MaxPreps named a Bingham sophomore and Brighton junior to all-American teams this week.

Bingham's Jay Fufele, a 6-foot-3, 275-pound defensive lineman, was named to the sophomore first-team all-American football team. He was the only Utah sophomore to make the team. On the season, he had 63 tackles and six sacks as a tackle.

Brighton's Simi Fehoko was named first-team all-American on MaxPreps junior team. The 6-foot-4, 195-pound wide receiver grabbed 90 catches for 1,644 yards and 24 touchdowns this season.
