American Fork's hybrid junior forward Brendan Bailey confirmed his commitment to Arizona State to The Salt Lake Tribune late Sunday evening.

At 6-foot-7, Bailey has built his reputation as an elite defender with quick lateral instincts and an ability to change shots with his length. According to Scout.com, Bailey, who is rated as a four-star recruit, maintained offers from Brigham Young, Southern Utah and Tulsa in addition to the Sun Devils. Rivals listed Bailey having an offer from the University of Utah.

Bailey is the son of former NBA player and Utah Jazz broadcast analyst, Thurl Bailey. His sister, BreElle, is a sophomore outside-hitter for Arizona State's volleyball program.

Bailey and American Fork will return to action at home against defending 4A champion Bountiful on Tuesday at 7 p.m.
