The careers of two of Utah's best-ever quarterbacks are beginning to wind down and, depending on how Jordan and Pine View play in this week's quarterfinals, could end as soon as Friday if their teams lose.

According to Utah football stats guru George Felt, Jordan's Austin Kafentzis already holds or shares 12 career state records and another three single-game marks. But Felt writes that he still has a shot at a couple of other marks.

He needs 379 more yards of total offense to tie Logan's Riley Nelson's record for single-season total offense of 5,815 total yards set in 2005. If Kafentzis rushes for one more touchdown, Felt said he will be the only prep quarterback in U.S. history to have at least 100 rushing and 100 passing touchdowns in his career.

Nationally, Kafentzis' 12,705 yards of career passing rank ninth all-time.

Felt has also been following Pine View's Kody Wilstead. He ranks third all-time in Utah in passing yards, touchdown passes, attempts and completions, and is fourth in total offense and ninth in touchdowns responsible for.
