Trump hits an electoral wall as the general election kicks off. Obama pays tribute to Harry Reid. LDS Church re-routes Russian-bound missionaries.

Happy Tuesday. We're now full-speed ahead into the general election — 63 days, friends — and things are not looking well for Donald Trump, who appears to be running straight into an electoral wall. In poll after poll, Trump isn't even close to winning a majority of the vote. While he's narrowed the gap between his campaign and Hillary Clinton in recent weeks, in the past 21 national polls conducted using conventional phone or internet methodologies over the last five weeks, Trump's high-water mark in a head-to-head matchup with Clinton is 44 percent. With third-parties in the mix, he tops out at 40 percent. [Politico]
