Happy Wednesday. While some Democrats are giddy at the Donald Trump's slide in the polls, some high-level Democratic Party officials are growing increasingly worried about Democratic overconfidence that could give the Republican nominee — and some flagging GOP Senate candidates — an opening to climb back into contention. Fear of complacency is suddenly a frequent topic of discussion among both Capitol Hill influencers and the financiers backing Clinton's bid. <strong>Topping the news: </strong>Trump said yesterday that Second Amendment followers could stop Hillary Clinton from choosing the next Supreme Court judges if she is elected — a point some took as a call for assassination, which Trump's team said was wildly inaccurate.
