Hillary Clinton takes a 7-point lead over Trump. Could Trump turn Utah blue this year? Napier-Pearce to replace Orme as Tribune editor.

Happy Monday. Donald Trump found himself with a small bump after the Republican National Convention but that has since evaporated. Hillary Clinton has vaulted back into the lead in the presidential race after the Democrats held their convention, according to a new poll. The former secretary of state leads her Republican opponent by seven percentage points, 46 percent to 39 percent, in a fresh CBS News national poll. Clinton's seven-point lead comes just one week after a poll showed her and Trump tied at 42.
