New Orleans • This three-game road trip included an extra stop for Jazz point guard Shelvin Mack.

Mack returned home Tuesday to Lexington, Ky., where Bryan Station High School retired the No. 10 jersey he wore when he starred there from 2004 to 2008.

"It still hasn't hit me yet, but it's a great accomplishment," Mack said Wednesday morning, back with the Jazz for their shootaround at Smoothie King Center. "It's something special. You know whenever you go back to your high school, you'll see your jersey on the wall. Let's you know you represent something."

Mack was honored during halftime of a game at Bryan Station, where he helped lead the Defenders to a 30-3 record during an all-city senior year.

"It was good, good to see my old teammates, teachers, all those guys and see how they're doing," he said. "I never get to go back there during the season and in the summer, they're not really there."
