Boris Diaw isn't totally healthy yet, but the veteran forward has finally showed some signs of progress. A bone contusion suffered late in the preseason had kept Diaw either sidelined or rendered him ineffective on the court until his performance Wednesday night against the Denver Nuggets.

"Still not feeling 100 percent, so I'm trying to get there," said Diaw, who scored 11 points to go with three rebounds and three assists in the win. "I felt good in preseason and then when I got injured I took a few steps back, so I'm trying to get back to where I was."

The Jazz's bench has been inconsistent all year and getting Diaw healthy and productive would certainly help that.

"You could see some of his savvy as a player and he's a fun guy to play with," Jazz coach Quin Snyder said. "He makes plays for other people and he gives us another guy on the floor … who is looking and thinking about his teammates."

Diaw and the Jazz face a tough frontline test tonight when the host Paul Millsap, Dwight Howard and the Atlanta Hawks.

Tipoff is scheduled for 6 p.m.
