The NBA's pre-draft combine will commence this week, where many first-round prospects will be on hand to get measured, take physicals, and in some cases play five-on-five. A virtual who's who of NBA front office notoriety will be on hand.

So will Delon Wright, Utah's All-American point guard, who has received an invite and will make the trip to Chicago.

Wright confirmed his intent to attend the combine to the Tribune this week. He said he will be there to do medical things, but won't play in the scrimmage portion.

And for Wright, that makes sense. He's projected as a mid-to-low first rounder, and he's one of the best point guards in the draft class. His rise or fall as a prospect will probably be predicated on how he tests, how he interviews with teams and how his individual workouts go.

Wright is one of two instate prospects who have real hope of being drafted, with BYU's Tyler Haws having a shot to perhaps be a second round selection. Wright led the Utes to the Sweet 16. The Utah Jazz brain trust will be on hand.
