A sore lower back will keep Jazz point guard Trey Burke on the bench Friday night against the Memphis Grizzlies, the team announced about 75 minutes prior to tipoff.

Burke has averaged 12.9 points and 4.3 assists a game in taking over as Utah's sixth man. This will be the third time in four games his back has kept him out of action.

Burke's absence will mean more minutes for rookie Dante Exum, who scored 12 points and notched three assists on Wednesday night against the Sacramento Kings.

Exum's task should be somewhat easier than it might have otherwise been. Memphis guards Mike Conley (sprained right foot) and Tony Allen (left hamstring) are both out for a Grizzlies team trying to fight off the Houston Rockets for second place in the West.
