Dallas • The Utah Jazz didn't have to face off against New Orleans rising star Anthony Davis on Monday night. Tonight, the Mavericks could be without three of their five starters. But if Utah could somehow sneak away with a victory at American Airlines Center, it won't make the Jazz's first three-game winning streak of the year any less sweet. "We're not a team that needs to apologize for for playing games without players," Jazz coach Quin Syder said. "We've just been without them long enough that it doesn't feel like were without them anymore. Alec Burks has been lost for the year. Rodney Hood has been out of action for weeks now. And swingman Joe Ingles is once again doubtful to play tonight, having missed two straight games with back spasms. The Mavericks, meanwhile, are limping into the All-Star break. Center Tyson Chandler (ankle) won't play against the Jazz. Neither will point guard Rajon Rondo (orbital fracture). Guard Monta Ellis is questionable and a game-time decision to suit up after suffering a hip injury Monday. — Aaron Falk
