Their starting shooting guard is done for the year.

And tonight, the Utah Jazz could be left to replace his replacement.

Rookie Rodney Hood has a sore left heel and is listed as questionable to play tonight against the Atlanta Hawks. Hood, who has been inserted into the starting lineup for the injured Alec Burks, was a partial participant in the team's morning shootaround.

Hood has missed time this year with plantar fasciitis, inflammation of the band that connects the toes and the heel, in his right foot. His soreness this morning is in the other foot, but no doubt the Jazz will want to be cautious with their rookie.

What happens if Hood cannot go?

"Other guys have to play—obviously Patrick Christopher, Joe, Dante may have to swing over, Ian," Jazz coach Quin Snyder said. "We've got other guys who have to step up. That's it."

Snyder did not say who might get the start if Hood can't play. Fellow rookie Dante Exum, who has seen more time alongside point guard Trey Burke lately, is a prime candidate.

Snyder and the Jazz have also liked what they've seen in small doses from Christopher, the team's recent D-League pickup.

"We're looking for people to come in and be aggressive," Snyder said. "Shooting is something that every team wants. You can tell he's a confident shooter. Really, that aggressiveness on both ends of the floor is something that really helps us."
