The Salt Lake Tribune attended the industry-only Outdoor Retailer Winter Market at the Salt Palace Convention Center in January and came up with a list of gear that caught our attention. A collection of the gear ran in a story, but we are posting the items individually on the blog as well.  Rose base layer from Kari Traa Utahns may remember the name Kari Traa as the Norwegian freestyle skier who won gold in the moguls competition at 2002 Winter Olympics. But Kari Traa is also a sportwear clothing company hatched from Traa's habit of knitting hats for her skiing buddies during her competition years. The Rose series is a superfine merino wool base layer designed for women. The Rose line will do more than keep women warm on the outside. The lively and fun styles give wearers a warm attitude as well. The long sleeve and pant are $100 each. The Rose line comes in ebony, plum, rose and sea. Available Fall 2015.
