The 21st annual Pond Skimming Contest is a rite of spring at Park City Mountain Resort and it will take place Saturday, April 15, at noon.

The competition, originally set for April 8 but rescheduled because of weather concerns, sees competitors dressed in their funkiest costumes. They try to cross a 100-foot long pond on skis or snowboards.

Spectators can watch from the top of the Red Pine Gondola.

The event is part of the resort's annual Spring Grüv. Registration to compete is full.

Other events will include a 2 p.m. concert at the Canyons Village Stage by Garrett Lebeau, the Boxzilla ski competition at 2:45 p.m., and another concert at 4 p.m. by the Metro Music Club on the Canyons Village Stage.
