The Utah Wildlife Board meets Thursday at 9 a.m. at the Department of Natural Resources Auditorium at 1594 W. North Temple.

Top of the agenda will be cougar hunting recommendations and rule amendments for the 2016-2017 year.

The board will also be determining how to allocate permits for the annual Western Wildlife Expo as well as releasing an audit of the permits given to the expo.

It will hear and act on furbearer and bobcat harvest recommendations for the 2016 and 2017 season.

The board also will discuss the use of public hunters to aid deer research.
