Salt Lake City's Parks and Public Lands division is looking for help from people living around the mouth of Parleys Canyon and nearby foothills who might have seen bats.

The agency is in the process of installing bat houses in the area, but in a message said there has been no tangible data on bats for many years.

This means that in the last decade, researchers have been making educated guesses on where bats might be.

In order to try to gain more information, the division has a survey on bats. If you have information or have seen these interesting creatures, you could help by filling out the survey.
