The two events are part of more than 2,000 events taking place in June throughout the U.S. in June. Around the world, more than 160 countries take part in the annual celebrations.

Olympic Day was created in 1948 to commentate the birth of the modern Olympic games. It focuses on Olympic values such as fair play, perseverance, respect and sportsmanship.

"We are always pleased to take part in Olympic Day and inspire kids from all over Utah," said Colin Hilton, CEO of the Utah Olympic Legacy Foundation. "Both the Utah Olympic Oval and Park are proud to support the Olympic movement and encourage children to lead healthy, active lives."
