The Division of Wildlife Resources and various other sponsors are offering special activities throughout Utah for Saturday's annual free fishing day.

Anglers do not need a license to fish Saturday, though all other rules and regulations apply.

Here is a list of special events Saturday:

Logan: Skylar's Pond inside Willow Park oat 450 W. 700 South will host an event from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Free fishing gear will be available. Kids activity booths are available to educate about water quality and responsible recreation as well as craft booths.

Bountiful: DWR conservation officers and Woods Cross police officers are holding a "Fish With a Cop" event from 9 to 11 a.m. at Bountiful Pond just west of Legacy Highway. Bait, rods and reels will be available for those who don't have them.

Daggett County: Officers at Moose Ponds will offer bait and gear from 9 a.m. until noon.

Duchesne County: Officers at Lower Stillwater Ponds on Rock Creek will offer bait and gear from 9 a.m. until noon.

Wellington: The Knight-Ideal Community Fishing Pond at 850 E. 300 South in Wellington will host an event where extra trout have been planted and bait, gear and instruction will be available from 8 to 11 a.m.

Beaver: Little Reservoir six miles east of Beaver in Beaver Canyon will be the site of an event that includes prizes with fishing equipment available for those who don't have rods and reels available. Instruction will also be offered. the event runs fro, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Cedar City: Leigh Hill Reservoir at the top of Leigh Hill on Royal Hunt Drive is the site of an event from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Free gear and instruction will be available.

Hurricane: Grandpa's Pond on 3700 West will host an event from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Prizes will be given and instruction and some gear will be available.
