The Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation is hosting a discussion on what its leaders call the broken process of wildlife management Friday at 7 p.m. at the Canyons Rooms of the Salt Lake City Sheraton.

RMEF President and CEO David Allen and Sportsman Channel Fresh Tracks host will examine why they say the most successful model of conservation in the world is "being exploited, abused and dismantled through politics and endless litigation."

The group said the politics of wolves, grizzly bears are being used got stop what it considers conservation progress.

The event is called "Real Conservation Matters: A Conservation Wake Up Call." It will discuss the state-based, commission-style of wildlife management used over the last 100 years.
