Call it "Craft Friday" or "Homestead Saturday."

Frontier Homestead State Park Museum in Cedar City is hosting The Homestead Christmas Market Market December 4 and 5. Park managers are trying to create the sights, sounds, smells and atmosphere of a frontier Christmas marketplace.

Twenty-five artists and crafters will participate. In addition, the historic buildings on the grounds of the Frontier Homestead will be transformed into authentic pioneer shops filled with unique, hand-crafted items.

Live entertainment on December 5 will feature the Violin Ninjas, the Griffin Family, the Neil Simon Players, Marty Warburton and Homegirls, and the Southern Utah String Quartet.

Gifts will include quilts, metal sculptures, leather work and nativity scenes.

The event will be held Friday between 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is $1 per person, with kids under seven free.

The Park is located at 635 North Main Street in Cedar City. For information, log on to http://www.frontierhomestead.org.
