A man who was in the news last year for testifying during Martin MacNeill's murder trial is making headlines again — but it has nothing to do with the former doctor's case.
A "Get Gephardt" investigation that aired on KUTV earlier this week alleges that Jason Poirier took money from at least three people seeking contracting services, and then never finished the job. Two homeowners interviewed in the KUTV segment paid Poirier $6,000 to finish their basement, they said, while another traded a hand gun and motorcycle for Poirier to install a pergola.
When KUTV contacted Poirier, he responded: "We have small claims court for a reason. There's two sides to every story. Please don't contact me again."
