Here's what's being talked about in pop culture:

• The line-up for the 70th Cannes Film Festival was announced this morning. Highlights include a preview of David Lynch's "Twin Peaks" revival, Vanessa Redgrave's documentary about the refugee crisis, and new films by Todd Haynes, Noah Baumbach and Sofia Coppola. [The Guardian]

• Comedian Tig Notaro says it's "extremely disappointing" that a "Saturday Night Live" taped sketch, featuring Louis C.K., bears a too-strong resemblance to a short film she made. [Entertainment Weekly]

• The great cinematographer Michael Ballhaus has died at the age of 81. Best known for his films with Martin Scorsese ("GoodFellas," "The Last Temptation of Christ," "The Departed" and others), Ballhaus also famously worked with Rainer Werner Fassbender ("The Marriage of Maria Braun"), as well as the films "Broadcast News," "The Fabulous Baker Boys," "Postcards from the Edge," "Bram Stoker's Dracula," "Quiz Show," "Air Force One" and "Something's Gotta Give."
