Three veterans of the '80s rock scene are teaming up for a summer tour, with a stop in Layton.

Rock band Toto and married musical couple Pat Benatar and Neil Giraldo will co-headline a tour that includes a show on Labor Day, Sept. 4, at Layton's Kenley Amphitheatre, the bands announced Monday.

Toto released its first album in 1978, and its 14th, "Toto XIV," in 2015. The band's hits include "Hold the Line," "Rosanna" and "Africa."

Benatar and Giraldo have been making music together since 1979, with his guitar and production skills backing her ferocious vocals, as she became one of the first stars of the MTV era. Their work has yielded such hits as "Promises in the Dark," "Hell Is for Children," "Love Is a Battlefield," "Hit Me With Your Best Shot" and "We Belong."

Ticket information for the show, part of the Davis Arts Council's Summer Nights With the Stars series, will be forthcoming.
