• "Hidden Figures" was the surprise winner of the Best Ensemble honor at the Screen Actors Guild Awards, where Denzel Washington, Emma Stone, Mahershala Ali and Viola Davis also won in the movie categories. • We lost some famous actors over the weekend: John Hurt — whose range of characters included John Merrick in "The Elephant Man," an alien incubator in "Alien," and the wandmaker Ollivander in the "Harry Potter" films — has died at 77; Barbara Hale, who played the devoted secretary Della Street on "Perry Mason," died at 94; and Emmanuelle Riva, the French beauty of "Hiroshima Mon Amour" who received a late-career Oscar nomination for "Amour," died at 89.
