Here's what's being talked about in pop culture:

• The best moment from last night's Golden Globes ceremony was Meryl Streep's impassioned defense of artists and a plea against bullying, aimed sharply at President-elect Donald Trump. The president-elect responded, both by Twitter and in an interview, by calling Streep "over-rated" and a Hillary Clinton-loving liberal, and by repeating the well-documented lie that he never mocked a disabled reporter. • As for the Golden Globes themselves, "La La Land" picked up a record seven trophies — sweeping the Musical/Comedy slate (Best Picture, and awards for stars Emma Stone and Ryan Gosling). "Moonlight" won best drama; other acting winners were Casey Affleck, Isabelle Huppert, Viola Davis and Aaron Taylor-Johnson. [CNN]

• "Hidden Figures," the inspirational drama about African-American female mathematicians' role in the early days of NASA, ended the weekend in a neck-and-neck race with "Rogue One: A Star Wars Story." It also ended with Golden Globes red-carpet reporter Jenna Bush Hager (and later Michael Keaton) getting the title wrong, calling it "Hidden Fences" — setting off a raft of Twitter jokes.
