• The Utah Symphony will perform "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone" in concert, with live accompaniment to the film, tonight and Saturday at Abravanel Hall, 123 W. South Temple, Salt Lake City. The show starts tonight at 7 p.m., and Saturday at noon. This weekend's shows are sold out.
• Utah rock band Royal Bliss plays a pre-Christmas show tonight at The Royal, 4760 S. 900 East, Salt Lake City. Opening: American Hitmen, Ginger & The Gents. Show starts at 7 p.m. Tickets are $18, at Smith's Tix.
• '80s rock band Gene Loves Jezebel performs tonight at Liquid Joe's, 1249 E. 3300 South, Salt Lake City. Show starts at 7 p.m. Tickets are $15, at Smith's Tix.
• The Salt Lake Film Society's annual Christmas presentation of the Frank Capra classic "It's a Wonderful Life!" will screen Saturday and Sunday, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, at the Broadway Centre Cinemas, 111 E. 300 South, Salt Lake City. The movie screens Saturday at 3 p.m., and Sunday at 7:30 p.m. Free.
